I think u r confused, we are not talkin about soldiers, we are talking about shacab (people), no oromo would ever live and reproduce in my land.

I disagree with this line of thinking and I am very skeptical about "Oromos" taking over? and even if they did, while we run from Somalia to foreign lands, Oromos are running to vacate the empty spot right? Every Somali if given the option would voluntarily leave and never come back so we shouldnt complain about people making treasure out of the trash we left behind, besides Oromos atleast the ones coming to Somalia, are our muslim brothers and sisters who only long for a better life or perhabs fresh start in a new land. I doubt they are agents of melez zenawi.

Agree with what you have to say, Most the Oromos in the north are there for a better life and hopefully some way to the west. I can tell you majority of them are Supporters of OLF and have nothing to do with meles zenawis government. People who are with him will never leave to Somalia, they have better lives then others. All these Oromos see you guys as brothers opening your hands to help and let them in, as long as you don't kill and torture them, there will never be any problems of Oromos living in Somalia.

What's the benefit of Somalia continuing to be homogeneous? I actually support heavy intermingling and diversifying the land.

Don't mean to sound xenophobic (because I'm not) but a mass migration into Somaliland wouldn't necessarily be a good thing. This would attract disease and increase the level of crime and poverty while making it harder for the somali to find work due to heavy competition from the more hard-working oromo. However it would make our country more diverse culturally and linguistically (which always a good thing) and also the oromo are skilled farmers and agriculturalist so maybe the nomadic somali can learn from them. The reason ethiopians are starving is due to mismanagement of resources and man-power by their corrupt government. The somalilanders have a transparent government and this could probably help us in the allocation of resources to more important sectors like farming and water.

^^ Xenophobia is the mother of poverty. It is a good idea for Somali society to become more diversified. Then we wil really notice development
