very beautiful Masha Allah but i am afraid this part of the city only represents 1/4 of the whole city of garowe.

if you take pictures from there and here, you know, any city will look great and because of that, i think we should hold on to our thoughts.

the other day, i was sifting through some very impressive pictures taken from different parts of Mogadishu and i was like...woow!!!.this is very beautiful but then i realized those "encouraging" pictures i am seeing didn't tell the whole story and that the bullet-ridden capital was far from being a candidate for such extolling.

beautiful buildings don't matter and are insignificant when your population is suffering from all sort of things, such as instability, hunger, unemployment and lack of education for thousands of school-age kids.

let's not exaggerate.

I like the way they build the houses in this town. Very minimal instead of the multi colored we usually see in pictures taken in Somaliland. How do they keep the grass at that U.N headquarters building alive/green?

Most homes have their own water-well, Garowe lies on top of a large aquifer which gets replenished year-round from higher-lying lands to the west (kind of how the Nugaal river goes downstream towards Eyl). So they probably just use that and sprinkle it every now and then.

Meeeaaaw!! I think someone is reading into my shit a little too a little more than necessary.I think we're talking about the city here. Anyone with eyes can tell that the houses are all beautiful but are all the same color. You should think of yourself as a "segregationist" as I didn't imply such a thing!
