I love history an would've majored in it just for the knowledge. But hey this is reality and not many jobs you can get with a history degree

College in general is a fraud and a waste of time and money except for a very few smart ppl who know what they doing. Also getting a degree won't graunteed you to get a job, most people do other things for living, than what they studied. it only depends luck, personality and networking.

But if you at least gonna study something, its best to study technical stuff, such as Engineering, Computer Science, lab technician, nursing, medical etc.
for all other humanities, sciences and social studies unless you doing a Phd don't waste your time on a bachelor degree in sociology or chemistry, because it won't take you anywhere.

People need to study tangible things that are personally useful to you. Forget what parents or others tell you to study just go after what interests you and surely it will pay off in the future.
