so whatever humilates the disbeleivers wa xaq, even though one ruling says otherwise it can be overulled by another. When the Messenger of Allah laid siege to Bani An-Nadir, to humiliate them and bring fear and terror to their hearts, he ordered their date trees to be cut down. Muhammad bin Ishaq narrated that Yazid bin Ruman, Qatadah and Muqatil bin Hayyan said, "Bani An-Nadir sent a message to the Messenger , saying that he used to outlaw mischief in the earth, so why did he order that their trees be cut down Allah sent down this honorable Ayah stating that whatever Linah was felled or left intact by the Muslims, has been done by His permission, will, leave and pleasure to humiliate and disgrace the enemy and degrade them.''

Re: Suicide bombing is a last resort
what culamaa are you quoting from?
suicide is never allowed under any circumstances. you cannot kill innocent people no matter what people whom you associate with them did to you.
it is completely haram for two reasons:
first, it is haram to kill yourself regardless what your intentions are.
second, it is also completely haram to kill innocent people. if you blow up yourself a in crowded market, the likelihood of killing innocent people are 100%.
so now tell me how killing mothers, grands, and kids would be halal and how it could solve your problems?
stop propagating falsehood and spreading hate. learn the pure Islamic monotheism.

it is not me who shall judge but tell me where i can find a verse that clearly condones the use of suicide bombers.melo wrote:^ So according to you, all of the shaheeds in palestine are going to hell yeah? May God shame you.
there's none. some people resort to this unislamic method of mass killing because of out of frustration and desperation.
just because someone is being bullied doesn't mean he could use any method he finds suitable for avenging with little regard of its legality in slam.
it is necessary that we learn our beautiful religion.

What do you expect from these people who have grown up to believe what the 'moderate' American-approved Islam is. They don't even know Sh. Listen you nacas. Outside of the children and disabled, there is no "innocent" person in Israel. All of them serve in the military. All of them contribute DIRECTLY to the existence of a state who brutalizes Muslims daily. So don't compare 9/11 or 7/7 to the Israel situation. The palestinians have every right to resists against all Israelis. The majority are not considered "non combatants" in Shariah terms.
Secondly, your are not an Imaam, nor a mujtahid. You probably haven't studied the basics of usuul-fiqh, yet you think you can derive rulings of your own by a simple cursory reading of the quran. Islamic fatwas should be left to the culemaa.
The sacuudi hanbali salafis like Sheikh Ibn baaz and ibn cuthaymiin ra believe that suicide bombing are XARAAM. But there are also major scholars in the Islamic world, the most famous being Sheikh Yusuf qardawi and as grandpa noted Sheikh al-albani. Their arguments are VERY STRONG. The agreement is that this type of bombing should be a last resort, if people have no other means to fight. This is not the case in Somalia, as such i reject Shabaab and their suicide bombings. But in filistiin its another case altogether.
These moderates are actually demolishing Islam. They think they can read the quran and hadith themselves, and deduce rulings by their lonesome. They know nothing about usuul-al fiqh yet they can they are muftis. I freaking hate them man. What do you expect from these people who have grown up to believe what the 'moderate' American-approved Islam is. They don't even know Sh. Albani ruling on ishtihaad and the implications behind it.
A layman should not be making ijithaad. Period.

well you seem to be contradicting yourself. one instance you are approving the use of suicide bombers and the next you are not sure its standing and therefore extremely opposing the use of it.
well first of all, make up your mind. you seem to be a bit confused!!!!
Islamic jurisprudence is not something you can circumvent by using the same ruling in different ways. in other words, you can't say suicide bombers are allowed in Israel but not in Somalia. the assumption that all Israels are legitimate target is just preposterous. even though the majority of them share the same views, still you can't generalize them like that. there are Jewish individuals, organizations in Israel that are vigorously defending the rights of Palestinians and their God-given right to have their own, independent country.
i don't care what some sheikhs say about this topic as i am not obligated to follow them.

Suicide is Haram. Period
Hadith - Bukhari 7:670, Narrated Abu Huraira
The Prophet (PBUH) said, "Whoever purposely throws himself from a mountain and kills himself, will be in the (Hell) Fire falling down into it and abiding therein perpetually forever; and whoever drinks poison and kills himself with it, he will be carrying his poison in his hand and drinking it in the (Hell) Fire wherein he will abide eternally forever; and whoever kills himself with an iron weapon, will be carrying that weapon in his hand and stabbing his abdomen with it in the (Hell) Fire wherein he will abide eternally forever."

Re: Suicide bombing is a last resort
Is defending your life/lives from a naked aggression Haram? Lets put religion into one side and you haven't been given any other option than to do or die.
So if a man FEELS, dying is better than been treated like an animal and decide to die fighting brutes with the clear intention to take as many aggressors as possible ( without harming women and children ) is it still haram? lol

Re: Suicide bombing is a last resort
Issue of suicide bombings/camaliyaat istishaadiya is not as simple and clear as many here believe. This is a question of fiqh, not question of caqiida or xaqq and baatil. People who say stuff like "this group is clearly on baatil because they support suicide bombings" show only the extent of their own ignorance in religious issues.
Some times a hadiith or aayah is not self-explanatory, but needs deeper knowledge to extract the right xukm from it. It could be that it was given to a certain situation that is not clear from the actual wording when you read it. There could be some cillah (reason) behind the hadiith and if it's removed then hadiith is not taken literally. I'm also 99% sure that none of Somalinet forum members studied even one day usuul al-fiqh or maqaasid al-shariica, so our knowledge is very limited and it's just stupid to be very arrogant and certain in your own ignorance (I don't mean this topic, but speaking generally).
Some major scholars are on opinion that suicide bombings are haraam, while some other major scholars are on opinion that it's halaal. Both are perfectly legal fiqhi opinions.
Those who regard it haraam take the hadiith (quoted here earlier) about suicide literally, meaning that it's haraam in every case no matter what's the reason behind it.
Those who regard it halaal see that there is cillah behind the hadiith and it's killing oneself because of desperation and not being able to handle what Allah has written for him, but in some other case it could be ok. They base their ijtihaad on the hadiith about boy, sorcerer and king (where king couldn't kill the boy, but boy told him how to kill him for the greater good and thus basically killed himself). Other evidence are dozens of narrations about sahaaba and taabiciin throwing themselves alone into big enemy army with absolute certainty that they will be killed, but with the intention of terrifying enemies and trying to kill as many as possible while getting killed themselves. Think about the effect on the morale of enemy in war when they see Muslims as people who love death and run to fight alone against thousands. Classical culamaa permitted this action in Jihaad on able-bodied and good fighters, who can achieve that goal. But if someone is very weak or handicapped he will just be killed without benefit.
So those are basically the most quoted evidence for those who allow suicide bombings. Here's one narration about understanding the aayah completely wrong and also about attacking enemy army alone:
Al-Tirmidhi (2972) narrated that Aslam Abu ‘Imraan said: We were in the city of the Byzantines and there came out to us a large number of Byzantines. One of the Muslim men charged at the Byzantine ranks until he penetrated among them, and the people shouted and said: Subhaan Allaah! He has thrown himself into destruction! Abu Ayyoob al-Ansaari stood up and said: O people, you are misinterpreting this verse. Rather this verse was revealed concerning us Ansaar, when Allaah granted victory to Islam and the number of its supporters increased. We said to one another in private, and not to the Messenger of Allaah (blessings and peace of Allaah be upon him): Our wealth and property have diminished. Allaah has granted victory to Islam and the number of its supporters has increased. We should focus on our wealth and property and try to take care of them. Then Allaah revealed to His Prophet (blessings and peace of Allaah be upon him) a verse which refuted what we said: “And spend in the Cause of Allaah (i.e. Jihad of all kinds) and do not throw yourselves into destruction (by not spending your wealth in the Cause of Allaah)”. So destruction here referred to focusing on wealth and property, and abandoning jihad. Abu Ayyoob continued to strive in jihad for the sake of Allaah until he was buried in Constantinople.
So some of the Mujaahidiin understood the aayah wrong, while in reality the meaning was opposite of what they thought (in worldy sense).
Melo is right about the thing that those who regard camaliyaat istishaadiya xalaal, say that suicide bombings are not to be used as everyday weapon, but only when there's no other way to achieve some great goal in Jihaad. They haven't been very common in Somalia and I don't even know if the number of those kind of attacks exceed ten during these past years. Anyway those attacks targeting AMISOM-bases and even killing some of their leaders fall into this category in my opinion, because they couldn't be achieved any other way. One guy with concealed weapon could do much less harm than same guy with concealed explosives.
Anyway, these are fiqhi questions and after that issues of military tactics and strategy. Many times in these issues no one can be certain what is the absolute truth.
