Who are the people in that pictures? To me they look like prisoners; Are these puntland prisoners by Somaliland or something???

As for the topic. Your friends behaviour is not a general Somali attitude more some insecure guy. Having said that he has point. We are not equal to people who were selling eachother wholesale only a hundred years ago. If you can find me Somalis selling eachother to outsider even under all the external pressure forcing them to act like animals...
