I will never wear white pants. Ever.
The second dude is dressed aright, but it's too tight for my taste. I can't pull off a blazer, though. The odd times I've worn one, I felt out of place. I think it says more than you'd want it to, if you're not accompanied by others dressed similarly or if the occasion doesn't call for it.
Leather shoes on the other hand, they're what I'm leaning toward. But even with all that in mind, price vs practice should be considered. I don't see a reason to drop $500+ on a single outfit, just because I either can or would like to. If you're out of place, it still wouldn't look good. Besides, alot of people have trouble with buying clothes that actually look good on them, focusing only on what's supposed to look good. A simple Old Navy/H&M getup can look much better than someone throwing hundreds on higher brands, simply by knowing how to buy for your fit and getting the right fabrics. Being comfortable is also key.
EDIT: Will also never purchase a cardigan. No one should wear these.
