People can coalesce around anything. Clans is only one way. Tribes is another. Religion is another. Neighborhood watches yet another. Make no mistake, when humpty Dumpty has his great fall, it's damn hard to put him back together again.

America has race, and an unwritten caste rule. Believe, they'll circle the wagons around ANYthing.

Nope. No one is immune from this phenomenon. We like to think we are. But we aren't.

Michael@loool????? Why are u in this conversation??? Jeeeezz--- i always had the inclination that u are the same as Mad Mac!!
And your analogy a boxer as to making the point of attention seeking politicians is also --- out of the context!
But Clinton is unlike many politicians-- he has surpassed the politician status--he is a celebrities--& u know them--- they super love attention! In fact the idea that politians love attention is not true--most of them hate attention-- they are idealistic naive people who think they can make change--but never look at the broad picture!!
Mad Mac -- no thank you--- i am not exactly thrilled at the idea of Manegee` toi

Don't be a pervert. I'm serious. It would be fun. Admitedly I wouldn't want to meet everyone on Somalinet, but you are an exception. And at a public club, there's not really any safety concerns in case I turn out to be a whacko - which I assure you I'm not.

Just like certain individuals here in Somalinet, people like the spotlight and Clinton is no different.
The only thing that separates these two guys, Clinton and Bush, is that one is black and the other one is red neck.

As for New Orleans. look at how quickly the people turned into lawless, amoral slobs. There's a lesson here. It was learned in Mogadischu, and has been learned all over the world many times over. There is only a thin veneer between barbarism and civilization. And it does not take much to rip that veneer away. Americans are not special or unique. I learned that when I was in Xamar. If this storm had devastated the whole country like it did New Orleans, America would end up like Somalia.[/quote]
