But Seemeyar SNM never took those Guys serious, SNM was represented by the Late Tuur and the central Committee and the other section consisting of the Guurti elders , ina Lax was was used by MSB to reach a peace deal between him and mengistu in 1988, he made Contacts with president Siilaanyo in 1988 and he said that he reached a deal with Mengistu that its now the Time for the SNM surrender there is no way out ina lax was said. President Siilaanyo told him , Siilaanyo said you made an agreement with Mengistu but you did not make an agreement with the SNM and he hang up on him

Seemeyar carte qalib and xawaalde madar were appointed by Siyad bare especially Muhammad Xawaadle madar when fighting erupted again in hargeysa in mid 1989 and the SNM stormed the Hargeysa airport that's when Siyad bare appointed xawaalde madar since Xawaadle madar Came from the Hargeysa region it was a move to stop the rebellion and make his government all inclusive but it didn't really help

Ciyaal warta President Siilaanyo wrote in march 1991 a possible power sharing Formula between SNM and USC well thought of two Federal Confederation Unity Government with all the details. read more

Huriwaa home of the brave!

It seems like every major event in the last 20 years took place in Huriwaa. The other day they were talking about the history of Alshabaab and they said they were formed in a house located in Huriwaa.

Caydiid loved Huriwaa and even before he died he advised his relatives to burry him nowhere else but Huriwaa. Hotel Guled in Huriwaa is where he got elected as the chairman of USC in 1991.

lmao u can not blame some groups without knowing the grass root of the problem...the so called separatism and mooryanism dint started from nothing..there was crimes and injustice before that and u shouldnt ignore that if u want to score a fair point and please keep open mind dont be blinded by qawiil

from my point of view everyone contributed to the problem...but this incident in the video was at the cross roads and could have saved soomaliya ..it seems we headed the destruction road..so lets not blame a group and praise another...that wont solve the somali problem abaayo

Ciyaal Warta, no matter how many times you remind people to refrain from qabiil bashing, videos like this one will remind some of the folks here one thing and only one thing: the harsh time they spent in Utanga and that is going to stir a lot of emotions in some people.

The biggest problem in Somalia is no one is willing to compromise not even today the political culture in Somalia seems that its never changing Shabaab is not willing to reconcile with the TFG and their condition was for the African mercenaries to leave the country pnly than can talks start between them and the TFG. Abdilahi Yusuf and geedi failed to reconcile with the Islamic courts union Umar hassan al bashir of sudan even organized a peace conference for both groups but they both refused to compromise and were hard headed, Somalia's war could have ended in 2006 in November, Can you imagine the Islamic courts union was the the only entity that Cleaned Mogadisho from Warlodism and installed a just entity the west assumed just alqeada but the TFG could have played a huge role on the international stage selling the ICU to the international community there were some terrorist elements with in the ICU but the organization was genuine, But they Missed that chance.

aideed did not have any vision beyond the overtopping of the president muhammed siyad barre, aideed was a man driven by revenge and would do anything including killing innocent people to get to siyad barre. Ali mahdi knew this and knew that aideed could never unite the somali people he knew aideed was motivated by clan so ali mahdi done what he could do take a piece of the cake for himself. aideed alienated his biggest ally SNM and went on a rampage of desctruction in the south. until finally he was killed by the fitnah he created

Will you trade life in Wardhiigley at that time for life in Utanga?

And even life in Wardhiigley was a cake walk compared to life Huriwaa.

I think as some members voiced already there was no strong opposition, what is more USC was clan entity what is even worse was that it was infant and had no grass root foundation. Humans normally discuss the events while ignoring the causes.

The time for blaming each other is gone.
Now we are in a situation of: survival or perish as nation.
Shabab's intention to destroy Somalia is an sign.

Whatever happened - happened for good reasons. We have to thank all of the events of the last 20 years that put us in a good position today. The future will only get better. Under Siad Barre, Somalia would continue to be a shitty banana republic whose people were outbidded by Asian trading magnates in their own land, and under Caydiid you'd have a total holocaust. Today, Somalia is in a much better position than it would have been under any previous leader since the civilian government of the 60s.

Walle your hallucinating. How on earth is Somalia in a better position today?

The events of the last 20 years has caused:
-Piracy
-Failed state
-Low Literacy rate
-Low Health
-Continous Clan skirmishes
-People dying in the ocean trying to flee to Yemen and beyond
-Somali youth in jail in diaspora
-Low productivity in agriculture
-Ethiopian invasions continuously
-UN colonizing the country
-Somali women being used as prostitutes around the world
-Somalis being locked in Libya, Italy, Greece trying to get to mainland Europe and Britain
-Poor water service
-No law and regulations
- and endless disappointments

Now honestly how is Somalia in a better position, or did the few AID Puntland gets amaze you?

You think like inagumeyd xun.

The only time Somalia was in its best position was during the 21 year rule of Jaale Maxamed Siyaad.

Dowladii rayidka from 1960-1968 was useless and full of curroption, no development, government officials used to squabble everytime just like TFG today.

But when Jaale Siyaad and the Kacaan took power, huh. Somalia was a paradise on earth.

Marka waryaa cuqdad xun iska jooji, it makes you look daft. Ina gumeydyahow
