Runta hadii la sheego, I believe Siyaad barre did not take over in 1969 but much earlier he said it was 1969 but come on son that is what he wanted us to believe. He did temper with alot of books and inserted his clan names all over historical events and documents. We also know he took advantage of ancient authors mistakes, they wanted to write something but instead accidently wrote "Marehan" a tragic human error that resulted in a certain clan with similar name taking credit. SMH

Btw there's a 200 people subclan of hawiye somewhere in Ethiopia called Marehan and scholars believe history was talking about them before getting hijacked.

Come on son, open ur eyes.

Is it also true that the first Somali woman Jaadle was Mareexaan?

It is a profession for lots of Somali women these days, so why not claim that?

Sneaky ilko-yars.

We all know MSB was Murursade, but the revisionists conveniently leave the "Murur" out to steal our history

Based exactly man, MURUR is not the only prefix nor the last intentionally left out.

Another shocking one is the suffix BURSI......left out in the region GEDO, it belong to a northern dir clan called GEDOBURSI.

Anything that has in anyway to do with Mareexan or a Marexaan person and you are sure to find a post by Gudaafo even if he has not posted for ages.

ps. I realize my post violates forum rules so you are welcome to delete it mods.

As evident from the source Voltage himself posted, Ali Mataan Hashi was part of a group of 5 Somali cadets chosen to train as pilots. He was not the only one. Why he would chose to highlight Ali Mataan Hashi while at the sametime dismiss the significance of the other 4 pilots that trained with him. I guess doing so will ruin his fantasy of Ali Hashi Mataan being the first Somali Pilot; which by the way is an oxymoron because no nation sends a single person to train as a pilot but rather choses a batch of potential pilots. No wonder, despite the consistent revisionism & alternative universe these folks live, the only evidence of Ali Mataan Hashi being the first Somali Pilot they can muster is a sentence about him being the first head of the Somali Air Corps ( which as Dr Yalaxow stated was an act in nepotism done by his Siyad Barre whom he shared a clan lineage)

1954, waa (Stinson L.5 Sentinel) oo ah diyaaraddii 1aad ee lagu tababaro afar ka mid ah shanti duuliyee ugu horreyay ee dalkeenna lagu carbiyo kana mid noqday tiirarki udub dhexaadka u noqday unkintii C. Cirka: Cali Mataan Xaashi, Cali Jaamac Cali, Maxamud Cabdullaahi Barre iyo Cabdullaahi Cilmi (Cabdulaahi Uuseey), midka shanaad oo ahaay Axmad Sheikh Macow wuxuu si toos tababarka ugu qaatay 1956dii dalka Talyaaniga halka afarta kor xusana ay tababarki labaad ee diy/ha laba matooreeyda ah ku qaateen dalka Talyaaniga 1956.

The same source, page 2
Photo of the head of the head of the hangar units, hared and his team popularly credited for performance in maintenance of Dakota (23/02/64). The commander of the Somalia air force, col. Ali Matan Hashi has recognized their excellence in technical maintenance and upgrading of the airplanes for mid-air fight, this was at the height of the 1964 war with Ethiopia.
Damn, I think Advo's theory was correct. Siyaad Barre really did take over way before 1969

Damn the ilkayars and their never ending nepotism and treachery

Voltage, Faytaan's info is on the opening of the pages you got the sources from if you are sincere in your question.
Third paragraph you won't miss it.
Waxaan hambalyo khaas ah u diraa ruugcadaaga duuliye sare Max’ud Cabdullaahi Barre (Faytaan) iyo xaaskiisa oo ka nool shanti duuliye ee C.C. wax ka aasaastay, laysinka duulimaadka diyaaradahana qaatay 1954tii kuna duulay diyaarado wadartoodu kor u dhaaftay 15 oo isugu jiray mileteri iyo rayid. Faytaan waa duuliyihii ugu horreeyay ee dalka Masar kusoo duulay 1961dii diyaarad dagaal oo jeet ah noocii ugu horreeyay ee ciidankeenna 1963dii salab looga dhigay.Max’ud Cabdullaahi wuxuu kale oo uu dhidibbada wax uga aasay shirkaddii Soomaali Airlines oo uu duuliye ka ahaa 1964 ilaa 1990kii. Waxaan hambalyo taas la mid ah u diraa Duuliyeyaashi, Injineeradi iyo Farsamayaqanadii “Shirkaddii haybadda qaranka Soomaaliyeed” ee Soomaali Airlines iyo garabka diyaaradaha ciidanka Booliska Soomaaliyeed oo labaduba badankoodu ka soo farcamay C. Cirka Soomaaliyeed.

This is him and his best friend who coincidentally shared both the same first and last names and who ironically died within few days after the passing of my uncle. Allahu Naxareesto both

Voltage,

I am still waiting for any source remotely stating Ali Mataan Hashi being the First Somali Pilot or Father of the Somali Air Force.

I am even willing to accept a poorly written Marehan Source
