xamud, yeah theyre great pictures, but its sad to know most third world countries and especially muslim countries were colonised by europeans and had their entire societies shaped by their colonial masters.

ulteriormotive, its from a photographic group called dirios, they had a load of pictures on somali stuff spanning most of the 20th century, but mostly mogadishu based.

jaidi, nuns are still in somalia till today, although their missionaries have kept a lid on it for a while now.
