whoever is slandering the marxuum, i suggest you keep your mouths shut and seek knowledge. sayd qutb (rahimahullah) made errors in his books and this was mainly before he made significant changes in his manhaj. even the ulama who corrected him and pointed out his mistakes never went as far as to call him a deviant and a misguided sufi etc. they would say he was a muffakir (a thinker) but his cilm needed taxqiiq. ibn baaz even requested the egyptian government at the time to let him go by jamal abdinasser refused. also, ibn uthaymeen (ra) said he was a man who wanted change for the ummah and he strived hard for this, even when jamal abdinasser offered him amnesty, qutb was quoted (im paraphrasin) 'the finger that professes tawheed will never bow to the will of oppression'.
furthermore, ibn jibreen (ra) one of the former biggest scholars in saudi called him a shaheed who died for a noble cause. how dare you ridicule this man when you spend your life in macsiyah, this man was fighting police dogs in egyptian prisons.
