Though morals and religion overlap sometimes, a person doesn't have to be 'religious' to be morally responsible.

Perfect_Order wrote:People, it is getting tiring and old hearing from somalis that gaalo have no diin blah blah blah. As if you have more principles and morals than non muslims. Why christians are very moralistic people, even athiests, agnostics, budhists, hindus etc. Morality is not exceptional only to one group of people, and lack of morality isn't either. This is just ignorance that is unfounded. I firmly believe that morals and lack morals is beyond religious lines, but lay in individual characters.
there's a couple people on this forum that annoy the hell out of me because they use this logic of all gaalo are inherently immoral so they're bound to do horrible things

That it should be objective, it's really meaningless otherwise, do you see?

Morality is meaningless? Sounds like nihilism.

I just deleted him and he still kept sendin me msgs till I blocked his ass!

I think muslims are the most judgmental people out of all religions. If one person decides to follow islam differently the entire community questions their motives. Other religions don't care what someone else does with their lives and I think that's how it should be. People have different morals depending on how they grew up, yet people expect all muslims to have the same morals.

everybody has a shaitan right? when you spend time w. somebody you're also exposing yourself to their shaitan.

yeah the prophet pbuh, his shaitan converted to Islam from being around his example   subhanaAllah!
That was his JINN qareen. The Jinn companion everyone reportedly has, they are not all shaytaan, some are good and some are bad.

PO - I get it, but the whole world is prejudiced, no one group is less prejudiced than others. The atheists I have met are the most intolerant of all, never had a problem with anyone else though, there are good and bad in every group, including Muslims. Some Muslims I have met were more intolerant of other Muslims than anyone else could be.

They might go there.

What I mean is that subjective means it isn't grounded, what makes something good or evil then depends on a person's views or society or evolution or whatever they pick. This is problematic because then what does morality mean to an atheist? He needs to transcend human subjectivity and his problem is that he cannot justify with reason why some things are wrong but others not.Do you see?

Are you implying that there's no morality outside of religion?

Also, what do you make of a Muslim who is a moral relativist :?
