Oi son Mogadishu cannot be compared to hargeisa, when siad barre ruled he said No building could be taller then 2 floors in Hargeisa, god knows why, and then after he bombed the city to the groundCoeus wrote:You are joking right? mogadishu is the capital city, how can it be put in the same context as any other town in somalia? with that said, hargeisa and garowe have made significant progress and should be applauded. and anyway mogadishu is a pigsty compared to the rest of the world. the day it can compete with even a mediocre city like addis ababa then we can consider it progressed.

Mogadishu doesn't need to compete with Hargeisa or Garowe, the only thing it needs to get up off the floor and stand on its feet, Wipe the "Duuf" of its Nose and Stand up right. Get rid of Your Bantu Masters, Secure your whole city and region, then come to the Table....

Aar Somalinet aaaa
Certain characters in this joint never cease to amaze me...How can anyone with a tiny drop of sanity compare Mogadisho to Garowe and Hargeysa
Basically every Somali who had some money invested in Mogadisho.
Somalis who worked in Arab Countries.
Somalis who worked for the gov't agences.
Somalis who worked for international Organizations.
Somalis who looted money from the Somali Governments and Somali Companies.
Every Somali shilling that was donated to Somalis are invested in Mogadisho.
All universities, hospitals, infrastructure etc were all built in Mogadisho except very very few.
Even today all donations go to Mogadisho..
Mogadisho was the Capital of Somalia incase some of us are not aware of
Only after the civil war(USC) war have people started to invest other places...

The reason iam competing xamar with hargeisa and garowe is because these are also capital cities(except puntland didnt secede).
I cant compare shitty xamar to adis ababa, asmarra or kabul. That would be humiliating defeat for Mogadishu.

Besides, sidee loogu faanaa dhagax la dhisey marka kii dhisayba la dilaya?
Re: A city of war looks still better than Garowe & Hargeisa
Mogadishu look like shit and has been totally ruined by its current inhabitants, but the city has a certain post apocalyptic type charm to it. As for Hargesia, what can I say really? It has no character nor history--it's a haphazard discordant slum town in a barren desert with with grand but tragically hopeless ambitions for itself.
