lool, thanks to ignorance to about free trade which even islam recommends, some leaders dont understand the division of labour.

there are no such as things as domestic grown industries, this will lead to isolationist economically and Sl people suffering from higher costs of goods thanks to baning imports and protectionist views which only really support the inefficient firms that can not compete, they will profit but the people will pay. welcome to socialist semi free market.

    @division of labour
what are you going to say next comparative advantage..
straight out of adam smith and david ricardo....

let me in on an open secret..
Adam smith was a promoter of British trade policy,
The british after industrilizing first, tried to prevent other countries from doing the same through diplomacy, and financial blackmail.
Adam smiths was like an ideologue whose job was to explain why only Britian could industrialize , other countries should do what they are good at, like exporting food, wool, leather and butter to Britian so they could sell them railway cars, steel and ships and machinery.

Every single country that industrialized followed the same formula, protection of infant industries behind tarriff walls, and government backed financial support in the early days..

Leading economists even told Toyota to stick to textiles, and not make cars, because the first exported toyota was so bad people made fun of it.
They told japan that its comparative advantage was to sell fish, silks and porcelien .

fukin Toyota...

Read this book bro.

open your eyes.

Good news. Hopefully as our economy grows more industry sectors will be subsidised. BTW do you think, if given the founding, Somalis will be able to have an auto-industry?
