And you too brother, laugh all you want, but the prophet himself indicated it.

There is no evidence of any of the saxaba celebrating mawlid. Are you telling me that these modern day people have more love for the prophet (pbuh) than the saxaba?

Why can't you stick to the sunnah and prescribed methods of ibadah?

Sheikh Habib Ali Al Jufri has not called to grave worshipping, he has made it clear on the matter that it is halal to visit the grave of prophets and their companions to read qur'an upon them.
Your kind enjoy chanting the words " The Prophet is dead" he has passed away in this dunya, into another dimension which is unknown to us

،
— كتاب الله حبل ممدود من السماء الى الارض، وعترتي أهل بيتي—
وإن اللطيف الخبير أخبرني أنهما لن يفترقا حتى يردا علي الحوض،
فانظروا كيف تخلفوني فيهما
The Prophet address his followers: O' People! I am about to be called upon [by the Most High] and so I will soon be leaving you. I will bequeath you two most precious matters. They are:
The book of Allah, as a cord extended from heaven to earth, and
My Itra [family], Ahlul Bayt.
Allah, the Benevolent and the All-Knowing has informed me that these two will be inseparable (from each other) till they reach me at the Pool of Blessings in Heaven. See then, O' people, how well you are to deal with them after I depart [from this world.

This is the word of the prophet, and i hereby declare that Ahlul-Bayt have a stronger understanding in the qur'an than these sheikhs who read the qur'an literally and do not take every verse seriously but use it to justify their fatwas
ألا أن مثل أهل بيتي فيكم مثل سفينه نوح،
من ركبها نجا ومن تخلف عـنها غـرق
Behold! The similitude of my family, Ahlul Bayt,
is like that of the Ark of Noah:
The one who embarks it, will have saved himself, and
the one who turns away from it, is doomed.

I know where you're coming from. I have also heard people ask what is wrong with getting together and making du'a/doing dikr.

The truth is, nothing is wrong with that. But the potential for it to turn into something else is always there. You might just be doing the above....how about people who start dancing and beating drums?

If you want to attend a mawlid...I wouldn't prevent you. But I would advise you to go to a legit one.

The love of Prophet PBUH overshadows this bidcah.
How can love for prophet pbuh lead to the fire?
