then again, it's difficult to overlook past and present injustices. prejudicial or not, much of it is rooted in truth.

while i don't dispute that, a lot of the prejudice is extended to Jews outside of Israel. what's going on in that region is just icing on the prejudicial cake.

if i were to attempt to rationalize racism, i'd argue jews are more tightly knit and communal than any other group, generally supporting a greater end through political and financial means. when you have israelbonds.ca ads on radio and ttc, UJA ads littering streets and their funds gearing education in a particular direction, and Harper vowing israeli support even at the cost of canadian lives, it gets rather difficult to look the other way.

most people wouldn't mind if it was their community with as strong a lobby/influence. it's a bit of jealousy, and above all racism that's steeped throughout history. some of it is religious too, sadly.
