I think so, but it is the material that people use for guntiino too? My mum has a similar one and she puts it on as guntiino.

Most Guntiinos are made from this material, though it's nice for cultural celebrations, it would be better to have it made from other fabrics as well like in the first pic.

this one I think is a mix of dirac+guntiino

Look at the dirac on the other hand...so unflattering.

I've noticed usually the Reer Koonfur are more attached to Somali customs and traditions. I have never seen any Reer Waqooyi woman wear a guntiino at all, even around the house kuma gashtaan! :? :down:

It looks nice though.

You wear a vest under the guntiino obviously right? And with a belt or without?

Not a vest, it just spoils the look. Just wear it to women's only arooses in that case.

Have seen girls who wore Dirac with cardigans to arooses in the middle of summer when only a long glittery foodad/garbasaar would have sufficed :down:

Hell yeah I wear dirac with a vest aint about show my binez to everyone :down: :lol:

As long as it's the same colour it goes with the look. Lakin yeah vest with guntiino would look weird when you think about it.

Diric inspires men much more than anything:
When I see a girl in a bac weyn, I first think of a body swiming in the big diric, then I make the link to the googarad...then ...
its like a flow of information...diric ==> body==> googarad ...
