Men invented humor to sleep with women. Women never needed to develop humor, hence why they suck at it.
Ask any girl on what she wants in a man and she will always say someone who can make her laugh. Ask that same question to a man and he will never say he wants a funny woman (assuming even one exists).

Clowns of any sort aren't the least bit funny. Best comedians know what to say and when to say it. Female comedians often come off awkward with horrible subjects.
