May Allah have mercy on your parents.
Its unthinkable to lose people you love.
Be patient and know every person will die, young old poor and rich.
Sabr and a lot of understanding quran(not just reading it) can help overcome your loss.
Inshallah maybe you will be reunited with them in Jannah.

Ilhay ha u naxristo.

I find it the same, even though its just over 10 years since my father (aun) died. Still kinda live in denial and will probably only get over it when I have kids of my own. Worst part is when my friends would mention their dad, I'd get some gut wrenching sadness. But alhamdulilah I still got my mum and very thankful as millions do not have that. Life is some harsh test at times, but the best of us is those that show patience, who glorify Allah swt and praise him.

+1 I'm exactly in the same position Nobleman. Ilhay ha u naxristo op! My father died when I was young, almost nine years ago and I miss him every single day, sometimes every single hour.

Subhanallah this brought tears to my eyes I too lost my dad at the age of 9, back then I didn't cry I just remember feeling numb and I only started mourning and weeping for him later on in life as I have realized how much he did for us and what it was like to have him around. He was unique and hands on dad so rare in our community
What gives me comfort is the hadith of our Rasuul(saw) where he says among the things that continue to benefit the believer is a righteous child who makes dua for him. So your dua benefits both of your parents continuously. You can also make donations on their behalf. As far as your future children not having grandparents, InshaAllah it will be ok, you know death is inevitable sooner or later we're all leaving this world. If Allaah gives you righteous offspring they'll in turn pray for you and benefit you in this world and the next.

AUN to all those who lost their loved ones. May Allah grant them paradise. All our wishes are granted in Jannah so don't worry. You will see your family in Jannah inshallah. Remember to pray for them and ask Allah for mercy.

Aun to all ur parents
Losing a parent is the hardest thing i have gone through, the pain never goes away.
For those of you whose parents are alive make dua and tell them you love them.
