No more so then postponing doing it an getting feelings involved. I really think marriages should be approached like business deals as much as possible.
Hence the contract. But all that goes out the window when shit hits the fan.

What happened to your disdain for relationship topics? Seems like 1 of every 3 of your threads are on this. Should congratulations be in order?

Doubtful, but it is a possibility. :)

On marriage though, it's really just about closing your eyes, jumping in, and hoping for the best. Just pray you don't end up with a manipulative scum, as seems to be the trend.

No. If anything, this thread only reaffirms my perspective. The conclusion seems to be "you can never know who you're getting with", which has always been my stance. It doesn't matter how amazing a Muslim they are, how many achievements they have, what ambitions they've got, or how clean their past is; you can never really know em. Certainly never before getting married. It doesn't matter how many clauses are in the contract, if it breaks down, it breaks down. It's all a gamble. Depends entirely how much you want it.

I don't really get surprised much any more. It can't be worse than not knowing if your child is yours :)

No, I haven't even attempted. Facebook was never for me, and I've yet to use the chat over there. I think you need to add friends.

I think that chat feature will only slow down the forums, greatly.

Wife duties: anything related to the house except fixing pipes, damaged roof, basically all repairs etc (wish that was included too). Coming home to a nice meal on the table, newspaper neatly placed on the edge, ur wife wearing a kitchen apron dusting off the shelves and respecting the moment by remaining completely silent. Perfect wife
