Somalistan every head of state is experienced in one field or multiple fields what we need is some one who can connect the dots and can lead the nation we don't need a banker i see Jamal as the chairman of the Somaliland bank or the Minister of trade and commerce but not as the head of state well at least not now. We need a person who understands the domestic affairs of Somaliland and some one who can take this nation to another level beyond all odds Some one who understand the geopolitical process of the region we need some one who can be a decision maker we need some one with at least some experience of Somaliland politics. What will jamaal do if things get tough what will his long term plan be what will he do if the national security is under threat what will the Progress towards the common objectives be Ma buugisa diwaanka qossalka buu la so bixi oo wu inaga qoslin  Somalistan hadaad odhan lahayd Axmed xassan cigaal i would say yes he is 62 years old has experiance knows how the Somaliland politics work and i think he has some leadership capabilities laakin jamaal come on man

Obama was only late 40s when he became president and he had no previous experience in government with exception of short stint as senator, yet he has literally saved the United states from dipping down into great depression. He has also ended the Iraq war and is transitioning towards bringing the Afghan war to halt as well. Osama bin laden has been killed under his command as well as number of other successful military operations, all this by someone who had no prior experience in politics. What I'm saying is if you have the right education and sound judgement then you can always make good decisions in every situation you are put into. The biggest and most important aspect that is hindering Somaliland from moving beyond struggling entity is the economy, and attracting investments and foreign aid to build up the countrys' dire need of infrastructure to sustain our growing population. Someone who is familiar with the process of sound decision making can use them through all phases of the government, whether that might be addressing the security apparatus, economy, and clan feuds. I think what we need is someone who is more of an outsider to have different look at the situation. I'm sorry to announce mr. muse bixi is an insider who doesn't have that long vision outside of his bubble in Somaliland.

The difference between muse bixi and Jamal cali xussien is the equivalence of Rayaale and Silaanyo. President Rayaale had no experience of work or study outside of somalia/somaliland and when he became President, he didn't understand or know basic protocol of dealing with anyone outside of his somali buddies, Silaanyo on the other hand is someone who has lived, worked and studied abroad and knows and speaks the language of the queen and can feel comfortable in room full of foreign dignitaries and say what needs to be said. I have the same feeling about Muse bixi as well, waa libaax Xarshin ilaa Hargeisa inta udhaxaysa laakin in the halls of london and Washington I feel he would be lost like rayaale was.

btw....stop patronizing the credential of jamal cali xussien. he is not your local banker my friend, he is East Africa top exec and makes 3 million dollar bonus just to start working for citi bank.

But Somalistan we are comparing the uncomparable President obama he was a state senator from 1997 till 2004 very familiar with American politics and he continued to be a US senator from 2005 till 2008 until he was elected as the Presidential candidate for the Democrats. One needs political experience to deliver for his nation especially in an african country he can be the brightest educated person and be a lousy politician it doesn't take much if a banker becomes the head of state u just need the right people on the right place some one who can lead the nation on all fronts you want Jamaal to learn on the back of Somaliland and do his political experience as the President i say let him start from the bottom Development is also about achievement of industrial and economic and other growths in the country as well Improvement of Human and environmental conditions of our People i don't think Jamaal cant relate to that we are talking about Somaliland government investing in their own People again an internal issue that needs to be done. The problem is Brother Somalistan you want to change Somaliland radically which can have a negative impact we need to start up with the process i am not saying Jamaal cant be president or will never deliver ever for His Country i just say its just to early. Also with that said its a whole government that leads the country not just a few individuals the president shows just guidance and runs the nation from the top but the goverment the cabinet members will do the job we need technocrats that can make a change i see Jamaal as the Finance Minister of Somaliland did you know Siilaanyo asked him in 2010. Inshallah lets wait and see if Rayaale and Warancade allow him to run udub

Waryaa Liqaaye i support who ever is good for the Somaliland republic for now Kulmiye Ina Biixi seems the guy for the top job and we support any one who supports Kulmiye regardless of their clan or region  Abdulqadir was bashing the government si aan caadi ahayn he is not a bad guy but he took it to far so he lost his seat to ina kaahin which is not that bad.

Obama had experience in government, but had no experience at the executive level of government which is essentially what the office of Presidency requires. The Muse Biixi in discussion in here has no experience beyond low grade ministerial posts which is hardly a preparations for the top seat. I don't see any herring in his past that t flashes in greatnes. He is just typical somaliland politician who has spent number of years in Hargeisa chewing khat and conversing about local politics of rer hebel iyo rer hebel. He can only do as far as his mind expands which is hargeisa and its environs.

Jamal cali xussien or Axmed Igal et el would bring different political tone to the table one that is based on logic and international level of thinking, not local he said she said politics that we came accustomed to. They would be excellent Representative of Somaliland in international stage, which where we need to be at the moment. We can have confidence in them that nothing will be lost in translation.

as for udub and its leadership, it's a mess at the moment. But I'd say Jamal Cali xussien though still not sure where he might ended has as much of becoming of president as Muse Biixi. Muse Biixi is only attractive candidate in certain sections of Hargeisa, nothing beyond that. Jamal Cali Xussien is clean cut and educated fellow and I think, given the chance could cross clan divide.

But you are right; competent technocrats are essentially the force that drives the government. But you still need the captain of the ship to be a man with a plan and someone whose passengers can sleep knowing he is awake. ;)
