Waxii ka khaldan bahalka ha laga saxo, waxan macno lahayn baynu muran ka keena THE TFG MUST LOOK AT ANY CONCERN OF A SOMALI CITIZEN OR ANY GROUP,AND WE MUST LISTEN EACH ATHER SO DON'T ABOLISH IT REMOVE WHAT IS NOT NEEDED AND ADD WHAT IS MISSING, AS SIMPLE AS THAT AFTER ALL WE WANT IT TO BE FAIR AND REPRESNTIVE OF ALL OUR PEOPLE, AND LEADERS MUST LOOK AT THEMSELVES CAREFULY BE FAIR AND REPRESENT ALL SOMALI PEOPLE.

So Puntland rejected the constitution. How does this make sense? Weren't they on the forefront of pushing this?

If anyone is in hot waters I think you should look no further then the spoiler in Villa Somalia, the man to blame for trying to change what he already ink with Faroole in Garowe. The donkey is already on his way to Washington DC and Faroole is in Addis; hence all the movement, this is usually what follows when Puntland speaks.

Both you and Faroole seem to not understand the process. Blaming Sheikh Sharif does not work here. The independent commission for the constitution is independent of the TFG, Puntlqnd, Ahlu Sunnah, Galmudug, or any of the principals. They come specifically under the UNDP and UNPOS. What the commission takes into consideration results from what the principals agreed on. This has always been a constitution written for Somalia by the UN. You and Faroole were just blinded of your real position because you were used like sacrificial lamb by UNPOS to legitimize the process.
The United Nation's role in the drafting process has irked some Somali religious leaders, who fear new rights put in the text will contradict the tenets of Islam.

April Powell-Willingham, head of the joint constitution unit at the U.N. Political Office for Somalia (UNPOS) and U.N. Development Program for Somalia (UNDP) says the perception that the United Nations has commandeered the drafting process to force its own principles onto the Somali people has put the U.N. in a "double-bind."

^^for some, it's ambiguous and doesn't clearly define the rights of regional states vs federal government, while others are unhappy about the fact that regional states are even discussed. Chapter 7 is the most controversial section for most.
