Lol! if that is a salary of the employer how would you expect him to pay this to the employee? The government has set a minimum wage of $100 for maids, what this is plain rubbish.

I am assuming someone that makes $200 a month can't afford a maid, I am sure after rent, food, living utensils and miscellaneous items, the employer wouldn't have even a mere 20 to spare. People that hire maids make enough money to give out a decent wage and should pay their employee between $25 to $50 a week.

From my experience, Somali domestic workers with the exception of Rer Konfur (south of Hiiraan) are LAZY. I had a domestic worker from Zanzibar and he was great. Excellent cook, cleaned well and I paid him $100 for which he was thankful. I could have paid him less but I appreciated his loyalty and ability to snitch on niccas in Swahili.
