That's what I wonder all the time whenever I read most of what he posts.
It is almost always so irrelevant, outlandish, inappropriate to what is being talked about. It is like watching a down syndrome kid try to throw a nugget of wisdom in a non-special education course. While that thought is a little disturbing, witnessing such a situation is always blank stare inducing.
If sharif hassan wins, he will be the new dictator of East Africa, to replace Zenawi as the strong man.................the West lost zenawi now they have sharif who will be in power for the next 21 years.
I know sh. Sakiin is qaa'inul wadan, but who will prosecute this guy for such criminality. It seems he is being rewarded for through through seeking higher positions.
Things are changing, especially some of the attitudes towards governance in Somalia. Shariff Sakiin's the beginning of the end was the Kampala Accord, it was the west's last substantial and crucial compromise towards these barbarians. He may not be tried in any courts but they have lost all value for them. Amisom currently has Professor Jawaari under tight security because they fear Sharif Sakiin will try to harm him, if that isn't serious, I don't know what is.
I really don't like sh. Sakiin but does not blind me to his potential and his skills. This guy is the only guy who has never fallen though his opponents are history. If the international community was so serious about getting rid of corruption and straitening the useless TFG , they would have done it long ago and would have certainly sided with Farmaajo in Kampala. The international community did not even respect the will of the people when he was supported in Xamar through demonstrations. Though the world might be serious about ending the Somali malice, they are still willing to work with and accommodate corrupt individuals.

Such a disease is awarded by Allah(swt).
I merely facilitate the function of a Conscious mirror and what reflects back at you is an indicator of the contents of ones own mind.
Back to the "shit shoveling" considered political debate on somalinet.
Do we lack basic arithmetic to even be having the discussion of who has secured the top two seats in this SELECTION process?
D&M have already held the post of Speaker and does not need to even consider this post once again, specially when they hold a unified support for a single individual.
As compared to
Darood-Block with how many vote splits? ...
Even DIR have a greater potential to achieve the 3rd most unified vote.
if this means sakiin is out then im welcoming this Jawaari guy. thats just perfect
Khalid ali, i thought u said on the other thread that sakiin will win big time, why are you now saying he would lose for shariif axmed if they were at final round!

you are asking the same guy who was mourning Zenewi's death because he dead to early to decide the next Somali election
Cirwaaq, Sh. Sakiin is out if Jawaari is elected. He can easily be elected if he gets a good majority of the D-block (Puntland, MR, OG) votes, Hawiye could be supportive b/c they want the top post, some dir, and beesha shanaad. He will totaly lose the D&M votes, but he can still build a coalition to win w/o them. Sh. Sakiin is somewhere close to Villa Somalia crying softly, even nothing else it makes him work harder and pay little bit more.
The IC is not a top down coherent organization, but a coalition of carrying interests that over lap sometimes and not other times. We have: US, UN, AU, Ethiopia, now Kenya, Uganda, and many more divisions. Now, an intelligent and calculating politician knows when they align on something, or when a specific power is pushing for something. Shariff Sakiin has been able to swim through a mess of varying interests for a few reasons. He has been able to market himself as the Raxanwayne politician through a series of good connections and money. And he has been able to attach himself to the rising powers, and not seeming too ambitious. But along the way he has made too many enemies that rather see him gone than stay. The reason Farmaajo was booted out was not because of his lack of success nor because of his success, but because he wasn't an experienced politician, and did not calculate where power lay at what time, he was too frank and rubbed too many shoulders. But as his return illustrates, he is more experienced now, and knows where the power lays. After his protests, he was told you can't organize nor call for any more protests by Amisom, and he listened, and from his return back he has forged connections with the state department.
Now, Shariff Sakiin is aiming for the top seat, and going against what he has been doing for so long. In this new position people will calculate what kind of person he is, using past experience, to determine if he is trustable. Now, take someone who is not part of his click, and he is offered something by Sakiin. You ask yourself, how much does he really need me, how many other people has he promised this, how likely is going to succeed, and if he does, how likely will he deliver on his promise. Tuug la qabtay talo ma leh. The majority of mp's know that they can't expect much from him as in terms of positions, and that they can't trust him either. So how much incentive does one have to vote for Sakiin? Sneaky people work best when they are not in the lime light. And the Monitoring group exposed his sneaky dealings. Take for example the money Sharmarke got from Oman, Sakiin took in houndreds of thousands, from the 1 or 3million dollars, when he asked Sakiin for his cut, he only got 10k for his "travel expenses". If that doesn't show you his character, I don't know what does. His money works best upfront for people like the elders who are a one time use only, and after that they are discarded.
