All Sultans, Garaadis, Isim, Malaaq etc etc used to dress like that :up:

LOL@someone who said Michael is dressed like Christian... He was Christian but he didn't do what many socalled Muslims are doing to their country....

I think the guy in the picture is Geledi, Shirib's people. I think the Geledi are riverine people, not geeljire, so they wouldn't qualify as true lamagoodle.

The first pic the man on the right is the Sultan of the HA tribe :up: , i remember Khalid Ali posted a thread about him somewhere

His background was not mentioned anywhere, how can you know? Even if he is Geledi, the Geledi did have nomads. This man has the afro, the go'yaal etc he is no different from this guy who is clearly a geeljire,

This is how I understood it Somalis were categorised into 2 back then:

Wadaad
Waranle

Wadaad could mean traditional elders and what not and I believe they wore arab attire such as thoob and cimaanmad
Waranle were the warriors and they wore laba go' aka two white garments
