You see i knew something was fishy as soon as he claimed "dahabshii and Xawaalas" pay multipale taxes , and the interviewer didn't further question him , how can we trust a minister who is in the pay roll of Dahabshiil , this is the second man in Siilaanyo goverment that is a Dahabshiil agent.

Another thing is this $1 tax will not go to the finance ministery and the goverment treasury, this $1 tax will straight go to the presidency budget and thats it you will loose track of it , as long as the money isn't going into the goverment treasury the its hard to accout for it. Also if they charge $1/100 how we will know for sure memebrs of Dahabshiil group would not manipulate few transaction and siffen few millions off.

Also, Today is $1 , and slowly few months from now they will hike it up to $5 and even $10 , every question asked these tow individuals the answer was same " we are poor and you guys are rich and can afford a dollar or 2 for somaliland" but the diaspora will have absolout no say how and where this money will go.

This is very suspcious , somalilabders have to stand up against Dahabshiil and the new oligarchs , we have to accept reality and not be sudced by 'help your country schem" , so far:

1- berbera taxes and revnue is missing from the national budget for the 22nd year and straight goes to Siilaanyo

2- All that aid you hear Uk and European Union gave to somaliland some 250 million are never seen in the budget.

3- Major rich traders and oligarch like Dahabshiil never pay a penny in taxes and as soon as they make profit funnel millions to outside banks , so they bring in prodcuts sell them in somaliland invest $0 and deposit all their money in foreign banks and use some of the profit to bring more never given the chance for local industery.

4- Somaliland Goverment will not bar currecny traders and manipluators from exchanging dollars in the street , these agent all work for big traders and agree to inflate the market.

5- recently without announcing to the public the port taxes were increased again , now most Berbera business will go to Jabuuti and the east have long gone to Boosaaso.

Just grab grab loot loot , So thats what you have and we are asked to pay taxes all " for the betterment of your nation" this a schem .

Siciid dowlada SL doesn't do shit, look at all the money they have, Kuwait giving them 10 million and they supposedly are renovating Hargeisa Airport, i don't believe it , Silaanyo prolly took the money and shared it amongst his tol who knows, all i know is, all the development SL has seen in the last 20 years was due to the people and the local authorities, the government are some lazy bastards.

when the minister said they will create over-sight team which includes religious members to look after the money, I felt as though Mr. shire took and turn my idea into his own. :steviej:

Here we discuss same topic: viewtopic.php?f=245&t=299865&start=15

ps. I fully support this proposal so long the money it funneled in the right direction.
