Well I clicked on the link and read the meaning of it just like you did. Jilbaab Wearer is definitely not an insult. I was just surprised you were quick to use it against the Somalis. It is probably not even a word that is widely used to describe Somalis. Who knows.

fwiw ma'aanan ku akhrinin, and yes it's a very common word to refer to Somalis and other Muslims in Amharic. Jelbaabkana qalad ayuu ka fahmay ninkaas, shiritka waa macawiiska Soomaaliyeed iyo wixii la mid ah; waa qof kuu yeeray maryooleey, embrace it.

I don't know how Cagdheers justify Abdi Iley and co. when such statues are being erected. A sad predicament indeed.

Got it. Do you speak Amharic/Ahmarinya? I tried to learn when I was in Addis Ababa and I could not. It is a difficult language.

They can built whatever statue's they want, one day they will be brought down. Ina Eley rules the region with an Iron fist and does as he wishes. He believes by building statues, the Tigray general in Harar will convince major stake holders to keep him as President.
