I support it too, walxamdullilah.
Nobody's leaving , for everybody matters equally in the bigger picture .
When every state become multi tribal like Somaliland currently is , then we'll have a new Somalia .

No, the only thing he did was being instrumental in the construction of this very government, which is why you gave him the largest state funeral since Abdirashid Ali Sharmarke, nothing special really.

As for this topic, the only way Puntland would ever secede is if the government collapses.

Abdulahi Yusuf (AUN) saved Mogadishu and gave these people a government to lead, hence the state burial. Soon these chronic liars will deny the funeral occurred.

Muqdisho was war torn but not in a post apocalyptic nuclear war like condition as it was by the time Abdulahi Yuusuf was exiled. A bullet ridden house that only needed filling would be obliterated by Abdullahi Yuusufs honoured Ethiopian guests and their indiscriminate mortar fire.

What you on about? After Shermake, Abdullahi Isse and Adden Adde were both given state funerals before Abdullahi Yuusuf, with Abdullahi Isse getting the best state funeral any Somali leader has to date (youtube it).

Oh ok, so that's the new twist, it was a war torn city, Ethiopians turned it into an apocalypse. I love when people try to rewrite history which took place under a decade ago, one can't even call it history at this point.

Be gracious, don't insult our intelligence.

Mogadishu was laid to the ground when two clans called Habar Gedir and Abgaal destroyed it in the name of qabiil, the capital of Somalia with a green line as the icing on the cake. Don't fabricate what took place and is still fresh in my memories.

So tell me, which institutions were alive and well, but destroyed by the Ethiopians? Any buildings you have in mind, I can name for you several destroyed in the name of those clans mentioned, including famous mosques. As for your funeral statement, I did go on YT, I suggest you go do the same. But I hope you don't get the wrong idea, this isn't about comparing funerals for the sake of it, but as a statement of the gratitude "Amiir" Shariif had, as well as the somber statements coming out for all his former enemies, now in his position and not a squint of liberation chants.

There's no doubt a lot of people died in the intervention, a lot of innocent people, no doubt properties were destroyed, but this fabricated history shall not be propagated with ease. At least come with something worth while, a lot of things can be criticized, but you can't support a government that is in no way different from the 2006 one, with the same vision, and seemingly same methods such as foreign troops.

They can't stomach the thought that a Puntlander saved them from themselves.
Their entire history started, and will end with them riding the coattails of the same people they attempted to obliterate.

Let me get comfortable though, I'm sure some epic Hutu fairytales will be written today.

Abgaal and HG fought with technicals and Ak's. The Ethiopians brought tanks and BM trucks. Doesn't take a genius to figure out which does more damage. I cant name landmarks that were destroyed by the Ethiopians, even if I could there were never many to begin with. Its not exactly Paris were talking about. When I say the city was destroyed I man the infrastructure in general..houses, shops, markets etc. Its common knowledge that the Ethiopians were indiscriminately bombarding entire neighborhoods on a whim in return for any bullet fired by the resistance.

As for Sh Shariif reading his former enemy a euology, well thats just protocol. He would have been unprofessional and naive not to read a heartfelt euology on A. Yuusufs funeral regardless of what he thought of the man. He even led his funeral prayer, good for his image as a president.

You are very misinformed.

How do you think they were able to overthrow Siad Barre and send him to Kenya with Aks and technicals? They looted the SNA reserves, and fought each other with tanks, infantry fighting vehicles and rocket propped grenades.

Ethiopians did indiscriminately bomb neighbourhoods, but you are to let us believe the place was a constructed city, with all walks of life. Talk about the people that died as a result of the Ethiopians, talk about those that died during AMISOM, did Al-Shabaab leave on its own or were they pushed out, then I may listen to you, but coming with they destroyed the city, any guy will ask you, "what was there to destroy?".

Thanks for the discussion.

Why does puntlands/darood loyalty have to have conditions imposed? such as primary influence over somali politics? If they don't....they leave? what?

You are speaking as if all Daroods want to secede from Somalia. Don't take snetters too serious sxb

The rest of the Somalia citizens don't really care whether Puntland secedes or not because it is a barren resourceless desert. That is the harsh truth.

Puntlanders are content in their "barren, resourceless desert" which miraculously ( ) produces every single fruit apart from Bananas, is teaming with date farms, marine resources , oases and beaches. :blessed:

:? Your land is just as barren and largely a desert while Dooxada Nugaal and Awdal seem to be the most green but unlike your land, Puntland and those mentioned seem to have some natural resources, given the huge interest of the international community. :som:
