No offence but what a stupid question this is. :?

Of course it was much better to live under Siyaad Barre. The dictator just wanted power and was willing to kill anybody who got in his way like every other dictator out there.

At least he was Somali so his whip didn't hurt as much

yes true, the tyrant English and Italian were much worse than Siyaad Barre, but there are some who think other wise,, I believe in free speech so everyone can have their say without being intimidated so that means the likes of Xplayer also allowed to favor his former Colonial masters.

Under the colonial "master" most somalis lived free , grazed their sheep and goats and lived like their ancestor lived for a thousand year, now, few somalis even dealt with these English boggie men your revisionist probogate, you been a faqash yearling who grew up on Afweyne's social tribal welfare such basic facts is beyond you.

Better the devil you know than the devil you don't. I'm biased though because I don't support any sort of foreign occupation, especially colonialism.

X.playa are you sure your fondness of the European non-muslims is not clouding your judgement here, remember colonialism was the open exploitation of Africa.

Everything you know today was taught to you through that means, from the cloths you are wearing , to the language you are speaking to the meaning of state , constitution , flag, schools.. all.. if hadn't been for the Brits and Italians Somalis would have been an Ethiopian slaves . Thank the god that sent these Europeans to civilize the savages. We didn't even have a decent cloth , we wore 1 peice of American cheap sheetings

Gumeysi is gumeysi..it really doesn't matter what color it has. Now dictatorship doesn't have to be gumeysi of course, but if certain people suffer under that dictatorship solely based on their beliefs, ethnicity, tribe or what ever- then it's no better than colonialism. However if all the citizens are equal under that dictatorship, then it's more welcomed.
