How long will the Syria civil war last?

There's this Syrian girl I went to school with. She and her family are in exile after Assad threatened to kill her step father in 2005. They've been here ever since.

And this girl and her step brother are absolutely obsessed with the revolution. This is a secular family that's definitely on some agnostic shid and since February 2011 it was all about beating the drums for revolution.

Now they're all over twitter complaining that the world ain't doing anything to stop the foreign elements and the US gov't not heavily arming groups like the FSA.

I don't get it. Do they want a US led intervention like Iraq?

I thought the rebels would be armed better and Assad would fall

Plus, Assad is repeating history hundred fold.

But these Syrians are useless. Assad isn't strong enough to fight them all off and the rebels are too disorganized and unarmed to win.

I don't follow scholars I follow the haqq. When it comes to Amar bil macruuf and nahi canil munkar that these people in syria claim, the stance of Ahlu Sunnah is Darbul mafaasidi yuqaddimu calaa jablil masaalih. In Islam The prevention of evil takes precedence over the implementation of good. If the cause of promoting good i.e the ousting of Assad is causing more harm and evil than the situation to begin with, then You leave the evil as it is. What good is removing a Taghoot or a Kaafir or anyone if the Fitna is greater than the benefit? Al Maslaxa of the Ummah always comes first, Allah is Raheem.
