Not to mention entitlement. It's the craziest thing if one really thinks about it. Why do some men feel entitled to women's privates?

Can I just say that if anyone is doing any "gaslighting" it would be the author of that article. It pissed me off so much I couldn't read past the first half. The author starts off by setting the scene of how your "typical woman" would get shut down emotionally. Then goes on to say how wrong it is, then (get this) says women stand for such behaviour because they are emotionally weak. :usure:

I skimmed the rest of the article and it's basically that. Preconditioned by society to be seen and therefore treated as useless by men (which makes them useless in standing up for themselves). Lord have mercy he's publishing a book -how men are taught women are crazy - some women are going to read this and start looking at men thinking you think I'm crazy and that in itself is crazy, ergo they become crazy. My days. He should be called "The Gaslighting Author"

I wouldn't go as far as saying all men are inherently manipulative/malicious and dismissive statements such as "you're overreacting" are really 'gaslighting'. However; the idea that women are unstable, emotional and irrational is quite pervasive. I do agree that women and men alike are conditioned to accept certain sexist discourses about women that are reinforced through language, literature, art/film, etc. What I don't like about this article is that the issue at hand goes beyond the classic war of the sexes. The author loses the plot by participating in the blame game.

These are the same women who stay in relationships they don’t belong in, who don’t follow their dreams, who withdraw from the kind of life they want to live.
Reading this irritated me, to an extent where I am doubting if this author really thinks all women don't have a brain. :x
I recognize that I’ve been guilty of gaslighting my women friends in the past (but never my male friends—surprise, surprise). It’s shameful, but I’m glad I realized that I did it on occasion and put a stop to it.
It makes sense why he wrote this "gaslighting" article. A licensed gaslighter indeed! :Puhlease:

Its true women are deficient than men

our Rasuul (SAW) informed us

Narrated Abu Said Al-Khudri:
Once Allah's Apostle went out to the Musalla (to offer the prayer) o 'Id-al-Adha or Al-Fitr prayer. Then he passed by the women and said, "O women! Give alms, as I have seen that the majority of the dwellers of Hell-fire were you (women)." They asked, "Why is it so, O Allah's Apostle ?" He replied, "You curse frequently and are ungrateful to your husbands. I have not seen anyone more deficient in intelligence and religion than you. A cautious sensible man could be led astray by some of you." The women asked, "O Allah's Apostle! What is deficient in our intelligence and religion?" He said, "Is not the evidence of two women equal to the witness of one man?" They replied in the affirmative. He said, "This is the deficiency in her intelligence. Isn't it true that a woman can neither pray nor fast during her menses?" The women replied in the affirmative. He said, "This is the deficiency in her religion."
