this sounds more like depression, life is full of new experiences if you put yourself out there, try to meet new people and do new things, you can't possibly have done everything, its just an excuse really, and what is wrong with doing things more than once ? you can enjoy it, nothing is identical.

He is not depressed, rather mature for his age. It's normal to feel overwhelmed too when you experience certain events in your life at a very young age that normally take a lifetime. That's what he is reflecting on. I don't know how that can be translated into depression.
