The only surahs you need for prayer is Faatixa and Inaa acdaynaa its very short or one of the Gul Acuudu's.

Go ahead read suratul Baqra or Cimraan just know they're really long.

you should practice more, especially this months its my favourite verse sxb, i keep repeating it whenever i can.

i used to be damin dabshid during my dugsi days, but as i said earlire, thanks to the effort of my mama, i finished the whole quran by hear at the tender age of 9. i am planning to memorise it whole again this blessed month god willing.
