Of all people, Mareexaan claiming to have a large population in Somalia :snoop:
Buloxubay sxb maanta somali si fiican ayay isku baratay, you guys live in small border towns like Cabudwaq and Bulohawo.
Cabdudwaq distric about 40, 000, 60% of Gado population= 160,000 and about 60, 000 in Lower Jubo mainly in Kismayo.
It is highly unlikely that Marexan population in Somalia is anything above 300,000, more likely between 250,000 and 300,000.

This thread was population of Somali regions not clan. If you want clan population there is a thread on that on clan politics sections. I will happily debate with you over there.

 sxb I am not even biased walaahi, just trying to tell what is close to facts. Largest Darod clan in Somalia today is Majerteen, they are more than twice larger than your clan. Marehan and Dhulbahante are pretty much the same size while Oganden in Somalia are a distant third runners

These numbers make no sense. Hargeisa is at least 1 million and Xamar is minimum 2 million

These numbers actually touch the reality. In 1960 Mogadishu population was just under 100, 000.
There are no recently verified population figures for Mogadishu, but UNDP’s 2005 report estimated it at 900,000

If Mogadishu is not even 1 million, Bosaso, Kismayo, Beledweyne and Baydhabo are not even 100,000

Mogadishu on Google Maps looks gigantic compared to any city in Sonalia

All these towns you mentioning were small towns before the civil war except of Mogadishu the capital.

Somalia was always a rural dynamic country. Our urban population was always low. Just because the urban areas have increased population does not mean the regional overall population has increased.

Mogadishu was always high population due it being the capital. It has roughly over 1.5 million during peaceful times or even more.

The reality is that Somaliland and Puntland have lower population than Southern Somalia. Just because Somaliland and Puntland urban population is high does not mean it has overall higher population than Southern Somalia. It was always well known that North and North East Somalia had low population.

Don't forget before 1991 70 % of Somalia population was from rural areas. And today 60% are still rural areas. So these estimated population make alot of sense.
