Al shabaab was founded during the islamic courts rule by a group of somalilanders who studied in pakistan-caraale, godane and their sheikh al afghani who was killed by godane in barawe- these guys had plans to destroy the courts by announcing the international jihad

Its founder and first leader was ismaciile caraale arrested by the CIA in djibouti on his way to sudan to cure his wounds

there should be a monument for both abdullahi yusuf and general gabre together in mogadishu while there should be a monument of maxamed f. caydiid (aun) in either kismayo or bosaso

bro, cayrow was never ever an amir of al shabaab rather a defence minister if you want an idependent experts i will show you. al shabad had only two amirs; ismael arale and ahmed godane.
maybe the first amir was an abgaal but him, godane, al afghani have been into pakistan and visited afghanistan so they had the foreing connections, he was replaced by godane after his arrest.

when we are talking about who is the founder of al islaax, it will be sheikh garyare from aw khudub regardless of its other founding members from sheekhal, reerow hassan and hawadle in 1979 in saudi arabia but that doesnt mean he is the one who brought dacwat al ikhwan to somalia, the man who did that was sheikh mohamed macalin. the difference is that sheikh mohamed mocalin did not make contacts with the international ikhwan for fear that he may got fired from his egyptian university-al azhar in the 50s as he revealed to the somali bbc

the northerners had the foreing connections and all the resources, these guys have focked up the south because if the leaders were from south they would have accepted the reconciliation but the arab financiers were controlling the movement through the northeners. this is why if the northern leaders were killed a change may happen in its direction.
