"Drove MSB to the toilet in Nigeria" Isn't that a bit harsh coming from a non-Somali? Grant, Had your Somali wife's clan being abused by MSB? .

Gurey,

Here's the NY Times obituary:

http://www.nytimes.com/1995/01/03/obitu ... -dead.html

Wiki just says he died of a heart attack.

They all, appropriately, leave out the details; but I have heard it repeated on several occasions that the heart attack occurred in a public toilet in Lagos. Do you have a better source?

Thug,

Most of that was NYT and Guardian obituaries. Here is AW on the subject:

"At least Caydiid (AUN) died like a man in his country.

Siyaad's Timeline:

Chased from Xamar

Evicted from Buurdhube

Kicked out of Kenya by Daniel Arap Moi

Sought Asylum In Nigera where he died. Siyaad Barre died drunk sitting on his toilet in a roach infested apartment in Lagos which was robbed often and he was also karbashed for attending the masjid by an elderly Nigerian wadaad.

After his death, his body was not allowed to return home as Kenya refused to allow entry, After much begging the Kenyans allowed it to transit and Afweyne finally returned home like all of the people whom he forced to exile: DEAD.

He was buried 2 weeks after his death after being treated his corpse was treated like radioactive waste being bounced from country to country, Even in death, no one wanted him. Sad"

What I saw was different. It specifically mentioned a public toilet. Not that I find that terribly important. The point was that the West did not drive him from power.

Boys,

Learn to read English:

"Wiki just says he died of a heart attack."

"They all, appropriately, leave out the details"

This means the articles did not tell the toilet tale.
