Actually boy from garoowe, I am not Hutu. Hutu is a tribe in Rwanda. I am Madarkicis, Hawiye. So I suggest you learn to take rejection and stop talking to women all together or just me in particular. Any of those will do. :|

People think I'm disengaged from the situation as if I don't want to be there which is not the case often.

Btw this smilie " :| " isn't neutral imo, it's more of a "i'm concerned about you" look.

I am,

Mar " :| " Ques

It is a creepy looking smilie.

Maybe that's the point, there is no such thing as a neutral facial expression. If you don't spell out for people a specific emotion you're feeling at the time they'll draw their own conclusions.

Whatever man. I am not going to defend qabiil, it just is what it is. I have a qabiil because I am my father's daughter.

You can't defend qabiil because nobody will take you serious. Women with Hawiye fathers don't usually defend qabiil anyway and they not only accept that women have no qabiil but they advocate for women to always remain neutral.

It is always mostly women with Daarod fathers and especially Majeerten fathers who feel the need to be so loyal to the qabiil of their fathers even if their kids are from a rival clan.

I have this problem quite a lot. Most Somalis think I have a haughty, supercilious face when I thought I have an impassive look. I can't, for the life of me, tell why. It must be my naturally arched eyebrows.

My personal motto is "You use less muscles by smiling instead of frowning - you use no muscles of you do neither".

If you're not smiling..you could be sad, angry etc. However this is about not smiling while engaged in act of kindness. I mean here u are recounting of your good intentions and yet somewhat annoyed by folks who expect a smile with that...so one might think you're kinda tough yet good at the same time...otherwise you're just being a b!tch  which I'm sure you're not...so if I was the recipient of your smile-free kindess, I would appreciate u but probably think to myself smiling and exterior niceties can be resigned from one's good intentions; so long as they act upon them..which is what matters really.

I wasn't annoyed, I was surprised and it wasn't that they expected a smile, they thought I was angry just because I wasn't smiling. I suppose that means they were expecting a smile.

I find that strange, especially when you've just spent 5 hours with someone.
