Why do Somalis insist on impracticality? Habar Gidir is't leaving Lower Shabelle, why on Earth would they.

Besides, as unrealistic as it may be, in order to even remotely contemplate the dislodgement of Habar Gidir from the Lower Shabelle through force or substitute, you would need to an extent, the collaboration of the other Hawiye clans and that's not going to happen.

Throughout the Cold War, the US supported various dictators because they were more advantegous to US interests as opposed to the alternatives. They reasoned that that a said dictator "may be a bastard but at least he’s our bastard”. In the case of the Lower Shabelle, the Hawiye viewpoint is that "HG are bastards but they're our bastards". Unsympathetic perhaps...but it's sound rationale if you ask me, from a political perspective of course.

Alright, that viewpoint might not be entirely be true ....., although the notion that HG would somehow be dislodged from Somalia's Eden after two decades is still unrealistic.
