I am sure we will work had to overcome any challenges. I've never understood why westerners are so stingy with children and yet they have so much money. I know Rent is expensive, but isn't food cheaper? :?

How much food can a child eat? For example, if one can dedicate $1000 per month, he can feed 40 children with basic meals.

My sentiments exactly, if you are going to have children please establish a way that involves tending to their needs that doesn't involve me and my money.

SecretAgent: Lets not forget the murder of a woman in Hargeisa for coming to a womans house to pick up an annuity. She was chopped up and buried in the crazy lady's backyard.

Beyond: Rent and food are not the only expenses. Most Somali parents aren't able to afford much else since they are welfare families. It is also harder to have a lot of children, because school and home clothes, supplies and fees (school trips, that whole registration stuff), food, etc. Easily providing for 10 kids in Canada means you have a VERY well paying job. Or they're wearing ugly hand-me-downs and clothes they got from the thrift-shop or whatever poorer families do to keep afloat, may Allah make it easier on them.

Somali lands are fine if you want a family that large and minimal stress, so long as you can provide for them. Tired of seeing deadbeat dads.

I think you are being weak here. Just tell them you don't have enough money. In the middle of the month (If you are paid monthly,) try to call people and beg the for money. Keep begging people around you knowing that they will not give you. Tell them you are in a huge debt (which is true. You owe yourself some money.) Since many people love gossiping, they'll tell people that Bonita is so broke nowadays. That will help and they will back off.

  I think life is cheap in Africa. No wonder US ambassadors here have refused to go back. In fact, the former British ambassador didn't want to go back home until the govt forced him to

I support with your hooyo's Halhays of: Adduunkaa wax laysku taraa; ee Akhiro wax laysuma tarro". If you can support 1 or 2 or a "whole village" for that matter do so. If you can't then you can. After all those whom you are extending your hand are non other than your immediate families and their families, which are still your immediate relatives. You can still have a ton of $$ while you're supporting your extended family back home without stingy. Being generous here and there won't deplete your bank if you put your brain in agreed mode and make it operate that way. You may be penniless and lose all that you have tomorrow and who knows and one that you had helped yesterday may be your savior at a time when you're in dire need of help.
