Re: sufis gone mad
bruv our aqeeda is that Allah is the Healer and curer of ALL illnesses. Even when we take medicine, and we say alx im cured by this medicine, we know in our hearts that Allah caused that medicine to be a cure for us. Just like the story of ibrahiim calayhi salaam, when he was cast into the fire. He wasn't burnt by it because Allah commanded the fire to be "cool & peace". It acted according to the will of Allah and not it's innate nature.

So why the fuss over these "relics", most of which are fakes?
This is like the medieval Europeans and their Christian relics from the holy land.

Well many of the people who are in possession of artefacts have a historical link to prove it's real. These were preserved by the ottoman empire, and even now by westerners in many museums. & the reason that there is is fuss over them is because muhammaed alayhi salaatu wa salaam is "Khayrul khalqillah" & "Habibullah". Allah tells us muhammad is the greatest of ALL CREATIONS. He's greater than the pyramids and other artefacts we preserve, greater than the cosmos, the ka3ba, the 3rsh of Allah. if we really understood his rank(not saying i do) we would be in constant salawat upon him. Imagine The One Who created everything chose muhammad as Habib, wallahi it shows the level of this person in the sight of Allah.
Imam Malik who was one of the greatest jurists in islam used to not ride his camel in medina out of fear of riding the camel where muhammad walked. This is ultimate love for rasullallah, that's why you see people doing things like this.

Muhammad (saw) said in numerous Hadith.....If you love me....follow my sunnah.
He also forbade the asahaba from building a mosque over his burial site.
So there is no need to venerate inanimate objects associated with the prophet (saw).

Re: sufis gone mad
I look at it as people who have so much love for the prophet (saw) and Islam not to mention their long struggle against communist Russia. So much blood was spilled in that place with the crack down on religious practices and the decades long war,,,,,what a joy to have something that belong to our beloved prophet (saw).
What you people are looking at it as just bid'ah is more than what a bunch of ungreatful Zoomalis could ever understand nor appreciate. How can you ever expect to understand the price these people had to pay for been Muslims? Somalia never experienced religious oppression and can never relate to our brothers from that part of the world. So get off your high horses and stop pretending to know what's truly in their or what Allah think about such display of affection towards anything relating to our beloved prophet (saw).

Here is how the bowl of the prophet saw was brought to Chechnya. It's stored in 'Heart of Chechnya" mosque in Grozny.

If anybody truly loved our prophet (saw), they would follow and spread his sunnah.
I can't accept anything else.......if it's not a bid'ah it is likely to lead to lead to it....so should be avoided.

Is not your place to accept anything nor are you in any position to pass judgement on things you have no clue of.original dervish wrote:If anybody truly loved our prophet (saw), they would follow and spread his sunnah.

tabarruk is part of Islam, don't say it isn't, otherwise you are belittling the sahaba.

Re: sufis gone mad
Original Dervish when you say "just follow the sunnah" it's a pretty loaded statement. I gave you a hadtih from bukhari that talks about the sahaba seeking cure from the prophets hair....If i follow what's in bukhari am i not following the sunnah?
