You are right, Qatar is a very small country led by a family whose objective is to flex its muscles and become an important player in the poorer Islamic and Arab world, while it is protected by the might of the United States. Two major flashing points with its neighbours Saudi Arabia and the U.A.E who pulled their ambassadors out of Doha were Qatar's support for Aqwaanul Muslimiin and the Aljazeera Network which relentlessly criticises both the House Of Saud and the Al Makhtoums Al and Nahyans of the UAE, but never utters a negative word on the ruling family, the House of Al-Thani of Qatar. The Saudis and the Emiratis were more concerned of Qatar's cosy relationship and their funding of global Ikhwaanul Muslimiins which both countries have expelled their Ikhwaan leaders and like Egypt declared the MB as a terrorist organisation. The Al Thani's of Qatar designated Salafism as the State's chosen Tariiqa. Ironically, Qatar is far more closer to Saudi Arabia religiously than to the Muslim Brotherhood. Their differences in their foreign policies are guided by their own national interests.
