Ethiopia and Somaliland have allot of shared cultures a shared history.Historically Somaliland is closer to Ethiopia than to Somalia. Part of Somaliland and parts of Ethiopia at one time shared the same empire from the 13 to mid 17 century. Ethiopia and Somaliland had a religious conflict in the past, but more Ethiopians are becoming Muslims and even the Christian one are no longer aggressive towards the Somaliland people and Muslims. There were few conflicts here and there about the hawd in the 1950s, but i am glad Haile selassie annexed the Hawd and reserve area , Hawd and hararghe harar and dire dawa its where we led the liberation against the enemies of Somaliland in the 1980s. And our people found save haven. I always said that man Haile selassie waligi walana shaqeyn jiray.

Ethiopia and Somaliland brotherly nations . Hawd and isaaq prosperity is our way forward

Not true Hodan , Ethiopians have their eyes on the Eritreas afar sea port Assab , we have nothing to worry when it comes to Ethiopians they are not a threat to our interest. Dont ever believe nonsense that Ethiopians are our enemies. Our only conflict with the Ethiopians in the past was because we wanted the Hawd and reserve area, we wanted part of our Ethnic Land which is part of Ethiopia. Not the other way around. But its better that Isaaqs integrate into Ethiopia and get a share in Ethiopias pie the Hawd people and Hawassa Yeshaqis should push further. Somaliland wa meesheede ha ino joogto Indepenent Somaliland and an integrated Hawd an hararghe region into Ethiopia and 3rd region in the making Bahir Yeshaq baliga Isaaq.

WE should focus 100X times more their eyes on zeila and make them dependable on us for trade and security. Secure relations is what thrives a country economically and politically and having a market that will hit 150 millions souls in the next 3 decades or so, should make somaliland a rich, thriving, evolving and prospering country. WE should not see ethiopia as an enemy but as someone that needs a helping hands, Our hands to be precise 8-)
