One more time: You can't have an eviction or displacement from a building in which no one has ever lived. That building was razed during early construction, probably because it didn't have a permit. Where is the link to the article?

Why are people shocked. To the victor goes the spoils that is the rule of Man from the beginning of time. Whether it was Persia, Ancient Rome, Alexander the Great, Caliphates, etc. to Russia/Crimea, Ethiopia with Somalia, Israel with Palestine, etc. This is just how the world works.

That said realize as Somalis You Yourself are under occupation today. Nin la haysto muxuu xureyn?

And this is what I don't understand, how a Russian Jew who has no connection to the Mideast can come in and take land from Palestinians who lived and farmed there for thousands of years.

It's really scary world we live in.
Because...............Bible, and God, and Jesus, blah blah. Christianity is such a shit f-king religion. The Evangelical Christians in USA, who are extremely powerful, believe Jesus will return in Jerusalem, and the land belongs to Jews. A two state solution goes against their Bible. There can NEVER be peace.

This is what happens when you inject the Bible into public policy.

I wouldnt go as far as congratulating Israel. They have done so many terrible things. But I do agree on your wider points. Saudi Arabia have expelled thousands of homeless refugee Palestinians, while they are sucking cadaan cock. I dont give a rats ass about Arabs being displaced and humiliated either. Just like they dont care about Muslims in Mali being displaced or Muslims in Central African Republic getting killed by Christians.

I remember as a child In the late 90's I saw Somali Mosques would raise serious money for the Palestinians, while our own folks were in the midst of a deadly civil war.

Im not saying one cant do 2 things simultaneously, but since we're pretty low on Arabs' list of priorities, they shouldn't even be on the list of our priorities.

The photos don't seem to fit the words. That "three-story house" was only framed through the first story. It is incomplete and does not appear to have been lived in. I suspect that what happened is they didn't get a building permit, which is a standard Israeli roadblock to new Arab construction and something they can legally do as long as the area is under occupation.

On another front, the Israeli courts stopped the demolition of a Beduin village in the Negev, to which many Israelis believe they have a legal claim.
(It's not the West Bank or Gaza, where they clearly have no permanent legal claim.)

"The Beersheba District Court on Thursday stopped the state from demolishing 51 homes making up the Beduin village of al-Sara in the South."

At least it"s the Israeli courts, and not the settlers, that are having the final say.

Front Page Aljazeera.

The Israeli election is tight and the Obama/Netanyahu rift is not playing well. The center and everybody left favors a two-state solution, which is code for withdrawal from the occupied lands. Sentiment is strong enough that even Bibi has had to declare for it. Keep in mind that Likud has only had a small plurality and could end up not even included in the next coalition government.

Biko and some of you others speak to the black and the white and forget the grey and the brown....

Fah,

See especially the examples of military occupations down at the bottom.

People tend to forget the Arab aggression that justifies Israel's militaristic position.

True, many of these horrific laws are legal inside the state of Israel. The bulldozing of houses inside occupied territories, however, is illegal according to international laws. The whole occupation is in contravention to international laws. The USA (Israel's most ardent ally) is at odds with Israel with regards to the settlement issue.

So what Grant is saying is it was LEGAL for South Africa to maintain apartheid inside the State of South Africa, even though the rest of the World knew how disgusting it was. I don't know why he would go to the lengths of even mention that, to be honest.

Yeah, there's no being neutral in a conflict between the powerful and powerless.

But still, we got our own problems to fix. I see more outcry against Israel by Somalis on my news feed than anything that goes on in Somalia.

Somalida aan u duceeyno, ee wax aanu qabano. Laakin in walaaleheena Muslimiinta ah in aan u duceeyo taasne ma xuma, meel walba ee joogaan. Neceebkaan oo Carabta loo qabo garan maayo. Fuck the racists, but let's not group racists and oppressed people under one umbrella, that's just beyond stupid.
