Haha..big dream Nigeria is together. The Boko Haram Menace is political. Right now, they are being beaten to pulp like kids. What happens but GEJ was playing politics. He let the guys grow big, and then a few weeks to election, postponed the elections and launched a massive campaign against the Islamist. Chad and Cameroon and fighting the idiots like there's no tomorrow.

@James. The Igbo-Yoruba rivalry is overrated.

@Moonlight. This is not Somalia where you're stuck with 4.5. How can you tell a democracy that a Muslim should Interchange with a Christian? Or the North and the South?

Somalia no longer functions as a state Jubbaland is closer to Kenya Puntland is already independent Abdiweli has visited 9 times Ethiopia the year 2014 one visit to xamar. Somalia is balkanized. The so called Mogadishu does not control anything. Wiill somalia split in the future maybe it depends if Jubbaland wants secession or Puntland but the status quo wil continue.
Lol I know his khawaja name!

Sxb its wrong to compare nigeria to somalia, firstly they have secular and sharia-based states, multi-ethnic and religion-based groups

PL is more unionist than mogadishu!

Dblock r found in every region so unlike of the north and mogadishu their clan and power will be splitted among these two regions if somalia gets divided

For this reason, they have adopted the D&M ideology of local autonomy and a federal state

Their unity is clan motivated

Mogadishu for geopolitical reasons wants one somalia even if this takes us to a confederacy and self-rule for some regions

As long as they r recognized the govt we have no problem with them

Power stays in mogadishu

Lastly the scenario of nigeria is splitting even if its unlikely is suggested by all of them not only one region specially the non muslims who will keep the oil.

yes you are right i agree with you Sahal the Darood unity card is clan motivated of Jubbaland was located in Hiiraaan and galguduud and shabelade dhexe they would seek Independence but Geographically its impractical impossible unless Darood some how tries to Fight for NFD regions and try to add Jubbaland and NFD togther and join them into a republic but thats impossible Kenya cannot be defeated by Somalia let alone by a Qabil called Darood. But another scenario could emerge Sahal if mogadishu and Jubbaland team up against Puntland this will antagonize Puntland and this could create friction with in darood..Madoobe seems to be more allied to Mogadishu these days.

As for Nigeria nigeria is very complex the Islamic Christian divide the ethnic divisions and the Jihadi elements its not fair to compare them to Somalia ,Nigeria still has a functioning state despite the problems ethnic divides there will be secession attempts but they will be defeated by the overwealming nigerian populations in the future.
