I am totally against the trend of changing our national day into a disco type of celebration.

I think this is the only day we as Somalilanders show solidarity and come together from all corners of the world to celebrate our national day,however and its unfortunate,to turn this occasion into merely songs and dances,moreover, people spend like crazy on buying the entrance tickets and dress to the nine.

I mean its good to gather and all,however we could make use of such occasion in a more beneficial way,like making large demonstrations in all capitals of the world to recognize Somaliland.
Collect donations and give it to SNM family members with low income...etc.

I do agree with you on this one. I absolutely dislike meel fanaaniin looga yeedhayo oo ilaa saqda dhexe la boodboodayo. The time should be spent way more beneficial, oo caruurti ku kortay dibadaha at least maalinta si fiican taarikhda wadankeena la baro, oo la tuso dhaqankeena quruxda badan ee sharafta leh. And not just shout 'allow dhowr somaliland' all night long.

Mashallah 18 may is the best time of the year the importance of this day is that its it the day we have destroyed what was once known as the cancerous union.
