You are saying somalinet isn't the place "for a open door policy" for this correct?
Well my point is I will go look somewhere else then.
Is my explanation better?

I'm saying you won't find an open door policy any where. Why would you want a place like that anyway? Don't you agree some boundaries should exist?

What you need to understand is that even though over the top bantu insult is wrong, you cannot compare that to insulting our Beloved Prophet Muhammad ( saw).
If you get angry at your girlfriend you can say hooyada was but will you say the same to your sister? I know that analogy might not be in the right ball park but I hope you get my point.
All of us tolerated a lot in here especially qabyaalad and racism but Prophet Muhammad ( SAW ) is where we decided to draw the line.
Re: My Stance,
It doesn't sound like fake outrage to me, the girl seems genuine to me.
SimplySerene: you raise some good points. I just believe there is a line that can't be crossed. There are plenty of other forums where there are no lines, and the Islamophobes, bantu haters, tribalists, and mysogynists can all go there. Many forums and social media platforms cater to them, and we can see their hate spewed in those places. I think it's better to keep certain forums a little checked.

Re: My Stance,
You raise valid points Serene
People are too quick to anger and aggression when they should be engaging in debate. Using harsh words and violence comes more easily to some than logic or reason. You can't help but wonder if the people who carry out certain attacks are actually paid by non-Muslims or are non-Muslim themselves
As for SNet not everyone comes on here to have an actual discussion. A lot of people just want to throw insults as a way of wasting time, so the question I'd like to ask you is where do you draw the line? How much would you indulge an illogical person? Can you reason with such a person? Do you want to spend your time trying to change the attitude of the illogical?

Re: My Stance,
jalaaludin5 - Well your so called "terms of endearment" sound like insults. Just giving you the heads up incase you try it on someone else
jalaaludin5 - You don't think I respect and love Prophet Muhammad ( SAW ) ? People keep saying this over and over. Of course I do. You have know idea the influence he has had on me.
That's not what this is about. I wanted people try a different technique in dealing with iillogical people. I see you guys to don't agree so I am leaving it alone

Re: My Stance,
Honestly If I had my way every forum somali and muslim forums and many other forums would have a open door policy. When we don't these people will go to illogical forums and congregate there and their anger continues to grow. I realize now my idea is not realist so I will drop itBlackVelvet wrote:You raise valid points Serene

Yes I believe in boundaries. Like If someone posted child porongraphy. I want them banned and police to catch them

There is a technique. Its called permanent ban for those that cross the line.SimplySerene wrote:jalaaludin5 - Well your so called "terms of endearment" sound like insults. Just giving you the heads up incase you try it on someone else

I Jalaaludin Bulaale apologise for the insult.

Re: My Stance,
Simplyserene,
I see where you're coming from but I'm not all the way convinced. Let's say we're discussing the Prophet's (saw) marriage to Aisha, for example. The discussion could have centred on the differing opinions on exactly how old she was and the social norms of the time, but instead Abdijohnson chose to use the word 'pedophile' to describe our prophet. He was straight up trolling and his incendiary rhetoric was deserving of a ban. What you're arguing for is not the right to an opinion, but the right to offend. Unfortunately, this forum draws the line at religion because that's the only thing 99% of us can agree on.
