Where is hasan sheikh? Isnt he the do called prez its his responsibility to safely transfer the refugees to muqdishu. Its not somalilands responsibility.

I don't think this news is confirmed. It makes no sense because the Puntland government has taken in ~ 3 times the amount of people that the Somaliland government has and all of this on less resources. If Puntland can cope, so can they.

As for Yemini nationals being abused, it won't happen. Just yesterday the Puntland President and the Yemini ambassador visited a camp housing 3,000 people in Bosaso and he praised the government and locals for how they have welcomed and treated the Yemeni refugees.

Barbarossa, Syria welcomed Somalis more than any other nation in the Arab and Muslim world. The Syrian state fed and housed those who did not have support. Every Somali in Syria had free access to Syria's schools from elementary to universities. Any Somali who has been there can confirm it. Syria and Sudan are two countries that welcomed us and we shouldn't hurt their refugees. As a matter fact, refugees who are reaching our borders should not be harmed, since the most of maltreatment suffered by Somalis were caused by criminal gangs.

In where tough? You mentioned Syria and I corrected you. Syria has never returned a Somali mother with children who have reached their border. They also have never allowed Somalis to be hurt in their country. As a matter fact, when you're at Damascus airport, there were 2 lines: (1) for the citizens; (2) for the foreigners. Since we're part of the Arab League, you go to the line where the citizens go and you got processed quickly. Of course, the current mayhem and civil war destroyed every thing.

One more thing, the idea of lumping all Arabs together is crazy. Many Arab nations allow Somalis in their countries to stay, and not harmed. Even Libya under Qaddafi, things were better for Somalis; however, as soon as he was overthrown, all criminal elements took advantage of them. Remember the same mistreatment happened to Palestinians, Syrians, and Sudanese.

The people who are reaching our shores need help and they are fellow Muslims.

The vast majority of them are from Southern Somalia. They wouldn't be lingering in IDP camps if they were locals.
