Balanbale the town is as Marehan as Hobyo is Habar Gidir. What took place is that Balanbale, which was the only "degmo" without accepted boundaries has been legitimized at the expense of Xeraale (Dir) and Guri-Ceel (Cayr).

This is something the Marehan delegates fought for and it seems both Dir and Habar Gidir/Cayr have had to accept the historical record they did not accept throughout the civil war.

Habar Gidir and Dir said in the West Galgaduud there is Dhuusa-Mareeb, Caabudwaaq, Balanbale, Guri-Ceel, and Xeraale.

Marehan said there are only Caabudwaaq, Balanbale, and Dhuusa-Mareeb and that Guri-Ceel and Xeraale are villages that come under degmada Balanbale.

Imagine that psychologically "Guri-Ceel" is as important to Cayr in existence as say Caabudwaaq is to Marehan.

After the guddi accepted the historical record, this is why Marehan's numbers increased.

So when you see that those groups now say "Balanbale" seats there, it isn't that there is any share in Balanbale the municipality but that the JURISDICTION of Balanbale now incorporates one of the most important Habar Gidir towns they always said is a "degmo" (Guri-Ceel) and Dir's main settlement in central Somalia (Xeraale).

Marehan profited from both. It's hard to understand if you are not aware of the intricacies of these issues.

You should check your facts. Balanbale city and the new Balanbale district. Balanbale city was part of Cabuudwaaq District (not the city, but the district). Cabudwaaq city, Dhabad city, and Balanballe city where all part of Cabuudwaaq district. Somalis name a city and district one name degmo. They need to change it. Marexaan said Balanbale should be district, and they agreed in Cadoodo shir to make Balanbale a district, separate from Cabuudwaaq district. Balanbale district inclues Balanbale city(Marexaan ), Xeeraale (Dir live there), and Guriceel city ( cayr live there). Balanbale district got 6 seats, so the three clans dived it. Xeraale and Guricerl were part of Dhuusamareeb district but now are part of Balanbale district.

Saxiib I know logical thinking is not your thing but do you actually think thats gonna happen? I mean do you actually think Galmudug is capable of exerting control over Waqooyiga Mudug? Galmudug barely exists in Galgaduud what makes you think its gonna fly with us?
