hen it must be correct that they are a sub-clan of Leelkase

You see what i said was correct and remains correct because i have personal knowledge and if you dont believe me go to any leelkase village and what do most of the men do..slaughtering animals and since your somali seems low harogle is self explanatory harag is the skin of the dead animal which are used for various methods and i believe all i have said was true after all.

Only thing correct is your statement about them being a sub-clan of Leelkase and I never refuted that it meant the skin of a dead animal (harag leh). Just because a clan has a certain name, does not mean anything.

Aaniswasno for example.

Turns out that 'Harogle' is not a clan per se. Its simply my uncles surname. Sorry for the confusion, but I just discovered this recently.

My family are quite anti-qabil and think clans are the source of the misery and destruction in Somalia so the information I get is very limited. I tend to agree with the part about the destructive nature of clans nowadays, at some degree.

Still, the area around Gaalkayco and Mudug is primarily a Darod-dominated region so I'm likely Darod of some sort. Some of my family, especially the women, are a bit light-skinned compared to many Somalis, and they all have big hazel-brown eyes. Maybe this is a clue to a specific set or clan?

If anyone has insight of the clans in Gaalkayco and of my specific set, then feel free to comment!

What are you talking about? How am I a troll? Exactly where did I talk about white people? I said 'a bit light-skinned' which is completely different.

JonisJamal wrote:Salam,

Quick intro:
The Somali part of my family has told be me that I am from the Harogle clan. I have yet to find any useful information anywhere online about the clan, other than my family saying its a sub-clan of Darod. My Somali family are from Gaalkacyo and the Ogaden area and also from several places in the Somali region of Ethiopia.

Can anyone enlighten me on this specific clan and its history, size, influence and maybe some lineage information?

Thanks in advance :)

HooBariiska --> Newsflash: Read one of my latest comments, it's not a clan after all.

TheblueNwhite --> Have you been smoking dabs? How am I trolling and how did I hide my "true colors"? You don't make any sense.

Some of you guys amaze me in how stupid your remarks are..

Why would I dismiss my somali heritage, it's a part of me just as much as its a part of you. Why would I lie to myself ;)
