If America is waiting on Trump to get it out of whatever financial crisis it's in it can continue waiting. It doesn't take a genius to see the man isn't made for politics.
Re: Donald Trump going to win the presidency in 2016
Trump actually has a decent shot at securing at least the Republican Party nomination.
Although his father was already successful in real estate, he made most of his fortune on his own. Donald is thus essentially a self-made billionaire. This appeals to the masses, who see his success as something worth aspiring to.
Trump has also managed to cultivate a perception that he is a straight-talker; a street smart New Yorker who tells it like it is. This is true to some extent. An example of this is when he was asked by a journalist if he was against high taxation because it would impact his own net worth. His response was that the average rational person wants to pay as little tax as possible, including himself. He would therefore definitely look to promote policies that ensure that.
Had any other aspirant made the remarks he made with regard to the border with Mexico, he/she would have been an instant goner. But what happens with Trump? He stands by his ground, ridicules the journalists who dared question him on it (and to their faces), gets token minorities to support his position, and sues Univision for backing out on its business deal with him. The GOP public notices this too, and is pleased that here at least is a candidate who can handle some adversity. So his poll numbers only continue to rise.
Trump also has something key that the other Republican candidates do not: an actual personality. This and his self-assurance will serve him well come debate time with the ultra-boring likes of Mitt Romney and Jeb Bush. Mark my words, he will destroy these stiffs in the open field.
This is still Hillary Clinton's election to lose (again), though. That is, unless Trump plays spoiler and captures her Democratic Party constituency's imagination as well.

Trump is not actually a billionaire, he just acts like he is. The actual establishment is lined up behind Bush the Third, Trump is ironically playing the populist politician card.

Trump has a net worth of over $4 billion USD according to some financial estimates.James Dahl wrote:Trump is not actually a billionaire, he just acts like he is. The actual establishment is lined up behind Bush the Third, Trump is ironically playing the populist politician card.
Yeah, the Republican establishment is behind Bush. Trump leads all GOP candidates in most of the popular polls, though.
I don't think it will make a difference which Republican candidate is nominated. This looks to be Clinton's election either way.

If he wins he will deport all somalians. the guy hates immigrants and refugees. Then he will run the country into the ground after which Russia & China will attack the USA. Not a bad thing after all. How can I donate to Trumps campaign with my cannucks dollars? Life is a bitch then you become one.
